SERVICES FOR VISITORS
Snack Bar and Gift Shop
The JCMH Snack Bar and Gift Shop are conveniently located on the ground floor, in the front lobby of the hospital. The Snack Bar offers a full menu of sandwiches, burritos, soups, chili and nachos, plus fountain and chilled soft drinks, iced tea and coffee, chips, candy and a whole list of snacks. The Snack Bar is staffed by dedicated Volunteers who serve hospital visitors and family as well as hospital employees. The Snack Bar is open 8 am to 8pm Monday through Friday, on Saturday 9 am to 5 pm and Sunday 1 p.m. - 5 p.m.
The Jackson County Memorial Hospital Gift Shop carries every occasion of Mylar and latex balloons, greeting cards, a baby gift section and unique household items, plus jewelry, fragrances and collegiate memorabilia. Volunteers are ready to assist you with your purchase and can deliver gifts to patient rooms. The Gift Shop is well stocked with a variety of gifts for each season and carries a few larger ticket, one-of-a-kind pieces. The Gift Shop is open 8 am to 8 pm Monday through Friday, from 12 p.m. - 4 p.m. on Saturday and closed on Sunday.
The Snack Bar and Gift Shop are renowned for their customer service. All monies generated from these two retails shops are returned to the hospital in contributions and needed medical equipment.
Guest Meal Trays
The JCMH Food & Nutrition Department offers a Food Preference Menu with comfort foods like Homemade Chicken Noodle Soup, Chicken Fried Steak and Roast Beef.
Any guest can order a meal tray from a nurse for $5.00 to be delivered at meal times. One parent meal tray per mealtime is offered free of charge to parents of patients 12 years old and younger.
Obstetric patients on the Women’s Center receive one free guest tray at each meal.
Internet Service
Free Wifi Internet access is provided by JCMH.
Wifi coverage reaches both the North Campus located on Tamarack Road and the North and South towers of the main JCMH building, including all patient rooms and waiting areas.
To access the JCMH Wifi Internet, activate the wireless connection on your device. Your wireless signal should then auto-detect the JCMHPublic network.
JCMH is not able to provide technical assistance to you and there is no guarantee that you will be able to make a wireless connection.
If you are on our Wifi with no activity for one hour, you will be automatically disconnected from the internet. Continuous access for 24 hours will also result in being automatically disconnected. Simply reconnect to regain access.
Data transfer speeds may be slow. We offer 1 megabyte for download and 512k for uploads.
